"Go Ahead Honey" Host…

I am honored to be September’s host of the monthly blog event, “Go Ahead Honey, It’s Gluten Free!” This event was founded in February of 2008 by Naomi Devlin, the author of the blog Straight Into Bed Cakefree and Dried. “Go Ahead Honey, It’s Gluten Free” is a Gluten Free recipe roundup hosted each month by a different blogger and with a different theme. You do not have to be a “Gluten Free Blogger” to participate in this event. Gluten Free recipes are accepted from anyone who would like to participate!
September’s theme is one sure to bring out your inner child…

DINNER WITH DISNEY! Choose your favorite Disney movie and create a meal or recipe inspired by the film! The possibilities are endless! Who can forget the romantic spaghetti dinner from Lady and the Tramp, or the glittering “Be Our Guest” feast from Beauty and the Beast. But, why stop there? Let your imagination take you to places you never dreamed possible! Walt Disney was known for his daring risks and wild creativity and innovation. Let’s all take a page from his book this month and give Disney a dinner to inspire and entertain!
To participate:
– If you are a blogger, email me the link to your recipe along with a photo of your creation, and the name of the movie that served as your inspiration.
– If you do not have a blog, simply email me your name, Disney inspiration, recipe, and a photo of your creation.
All submissions should be emailed to glutenfreegidget@gmail.com with the subject line “Dinner With Disney”. Submissions must be received no later than Sunday, September 27th so I can post the event on Wednesday, September 30th.
I can’t wait to see the magic you all create in your kitchens! Let the fairy dust (or Gluten Free Flour) fly, and let the Disney magic begin!

  1. I am so excited about trying this! I love Disney AND I just started a food blog since my regular blog readers were starting to pick on me over posting so many muffin recipes. My brain is already working hard at ideas 🙂

  2. Hmm, I might just have to give this a good think! Maybe I should go back to my May Disney World mini-posts for inspiration…By the way, I was just looking at the pictures of your Monster Fruit and I'm still like totally astounded–I've never seen anything like it! I'm so looking out for it at the store today.

Let's Discuss!
